Dr. Banoub is a clinical specialist in infectious diseases at the University of Maryland Medical Center . She earned her PharmD at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Pharmacy and completed her first year of residency training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and second year infectious diseases specialty residency at Wake Forest Baptist Health. In her current position, she serves in her hospital’s Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, on inpatient Infectious Diseases consulting teams, and in an outpatient Infectious Diseases clinic.

She currently serves on the Enhanced Recovery After Cardiac Surgery Advisory Board, the Society of Thoracic Surgery Multidisciplinary Education Committee, the American College of Chest Physicians Education Committee, and the board of the Atlanta AACN Chapter. Her interests include end-of-life care, targeted temperature management, and cardiac assist devices. She has more than 44 years’ experience as a nurse and 39 years as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
